Rain wreaks havoc for juniors

08 Feb, 2010 08:53 AM
GIVEN the amount of rain that had fallen late in the week, the Shoalhaven District Cricket Association junior executive had little option but to cancel matches set down for last Saturday morning.

However it was a disappointment for the hundreds of youngsters who look forward to their weekly games.

For five of the age groups, the second last round of matches will now be played under one-day conditions next Saturday.

Round 15 for the under 10s is abandoned, with teams receiving points for a draw.

Semi-finals are set down for Saturday and Sunday, March 6-7, with the grand finals the following weekend, Saturday and Sunday, March 13-14.
