North Nowra-Cambewarra 5/116
Ulladulla United won the toss and elected to bat at the Bernie Regan Sporting Complex, but was soon in trouble against Norths’ new ball attack.
The total had reached five in the fifth over when Chris Barford (2) was clean bowled by Adam Jackson.
Before the over was finished, Jackson had Graham Davidson accept a chance to remove Joel Tibbetts before he had scored.
In his next over Jackson caught and bowled Robert Cooke (4) and the total had slumped to 3/6.
This brought Aaron Basile and Douglas Chisholm together, and they appeared to be consolidating as their partnership occupied 10 overs.
However skipper Basile (6) was bowled by John Muggleton, and when Shane Bell came into the attack he bowled Chisholm (5).
A change of ends saw Jackson remove Scott King (2), caught by Lachlan Lamont, and the visitors were 6/23.
Jon Kingston went for his shots, hitting two boundaries in 18 before he was caught by Davidson from leg-spinner Hugh Gillen.
When Terry Dorrell (3) was bowled by Alexander Peters, United was reeling at 8/42.
However one of the youngest team members, Jason Linke then lifted his side with a fighting knock of 45.
He added 33 for the ninth wicket with Jayde Tooth (8) who was eventually caught by Nick McDonald off Muggleton.
After a last wicket stand of 30 with Luke Condon (6 not out), Linke was bowled by Bell, having guided the total to 105.
Jackson returned the superb figures of 4/9 from nine overs, while Muggleton and Bell chipped in with two wickets apiece.
Norths was well on the way to victory when Peters and skipper McDonald shared an opening stand of 55 before they fell in quick succession.
McDonald had hit two boundaries in 20 when he edged a ball from King and Cooke accepted the chance at second slip.
Peters followed, caught by keeper Basile off Barford, having hit three fours and a six in 30.
United was right back in the game when it took a further three wickets for the addition of 10 runs.
King had Davidson (4) caught by Kingston, and he then bowled Paul Maiolo (3).
Matthew Fairweather added only a single before he edged Barford to Basile.
However an unbroken partnership of 51 between Bell (25) and Lamont (17) gave Norths the lead before the close of play.
King had been the pick of the bowlers with 3/24 from nine overs, and Barford had 2/31 off 10.
