BAY and Basin Greens are well on top of their under 11 match at Lyrebird Sports Park No. 2 Oval, despite some outstanding bowling figures from Ex-Servicemen’s Jackson Payne.
After winning the toss, Ex-Servicemen were dismissed for 75, the mainstays being opener Matt Hiriart who retired after hitting three boundaries in 19, and Thomas Dolby who made 11.
Payne did some damage towards the end, taking 4/0 from three maiden overs, after Nicholas Moffat had picked up 2/5.
Ex-Servicemen are 6/26 in reply, the wickets being well spread.
Leader Ulladulla United posted a total of 9/111 after winning the toss against North Nowra-Cambewarra Blues at Milton Showground.
Bradley Field made 11 and Logan Murray 10, and there were 46 sundries.
Three bowlers each took a wicket, while there were six run outs.
North Nowra-Cambewarra Maroons were restricted to a total of 9/89 by Bomaderry at the Bernie Regan Sporting Complex.
Lara Spelta played well for 12 not out, and there were 51 sundries.
Tyrone Johnston bowled a tight spell to take 4/3 from six overs, while Zac Blattner and Jaylon Pender were also on the spot.
Bay and Basin Blues fought hard to reach a total of 5/115 against the home team at Sussex Inlet Oval.
Opener Jack Ray was the mainstay with 23 retired, and strong support came from Fin Wilson (16) and Will Betts (12).
Calvin Wood was on the spot, to capture 3/13 from six overs.
