Winning the toss and batting at the Berry Sporting Complex, Nowra lost Matt Ganderton (4) in the sixth over, bowled by Luke Bramley.
Skipper Darren Jones then joined opener Ben Leishman, and they consolidated with a partnership of 33.
Leishman fought hard for 14 before he edged Bramley to keeper Justin Wallace.
Jones went on to 42 off 54 balls including five boundaries before he hit a return catch to opposition captain David Crapp.
Mark Bailey then joined Craig Larsen and their 36-run stand took the total to 114.
Bailey made 19 before he was caught and bowled by Simon Robinson.
Chris Nation quickly went to 11 but was then caught by Brad Dudgeon off Crapp.
Larsen reached a fighting half-century that included three boundaries, but he was then caught by Crapp off Brad Carey.
John King was bowled next ball, and it was 7/156.
A third wicket fell at that total when Pat Irvine became the third caught and bowled victim, this time off Crapp.
Jordan Pearson hit two boundaries in an unbeaten nine, helping the total to 8/166 after 45 overs.
Crapp was the most successful bowler with 3/40 from nine overs, with Bramley and Carey picking up two apiece.
Berry was in early trouble when Ganderton struck twice in his second over - he bowled Kieran Gray (1) and then had Dudgeon (0) caught by Nation.
Carey did most of the early scoring, but on reaching 15 he was caught by Leishman off Larsen, and it was 3/20 in the 10th over.
Karl Jarrett (3) soon followed, lbw to Nation.
Crapp was then joined by Duncan Maddinson, and they added 45 for the fifth wicket.
The stand was broken when Maddinson was run out for 18.
Glenn Brandon helped Crapp add 74 for the sixth wicket to get the chase back on track.
Brandon hit three fours and one six in 45 before he was bowled by Nation.
Crapp went on to 71 with seven boundaries before he was bowled by Ganderton.
Robinson (5) was caught by Leishman off Ganderton, but Berry took the match by two wickets in the 44th over.
Ganderton returned the excellent figures of 4/28 from 8.3 overs, and Nation had 2/33.
