POLICE are seeking public assistance after three men and two women were threatened by armed offenders in two separate incidents in Nowra at the weekend.

In the first incident, two women were confronted by an unknown man in North Street about 1am on Sunday.
The offender threatened the pair with a small knife before demanding cash. The victims handed over a sum of cash before the offender fled the scene.
He is described as aged between 20 and 30, of European appearance, 160-165cm tall with a medium build, short blonde hair and fair complexion.
In the second incident – about 40 minutes later – three men were walking along Jervis Street when they were approached by two males armed with knives and a pair of scissors.
The trio was threatened, however the offenders fled the scene empty-handed.
The first offender has been described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, 12 to 17 years old, 170-175cm tall with a slim build, short black hair and dark complexion.
The second offender has been described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, 12 to 17 years old, 170-175cm tall with a slim build.
It’s not believed the incidents are linked.
