Vincentia ground first to wash out for junior cricket

08 Feb, 2012 08:09 AM
THE Vincentia Sporting Complex appears to be another ground where Shoalhaven City Council will have to carry out major works.

The ground’s drainage is particularly poor and on the weekend it was the first non-turf wicket complex where junior cricket was cancelled.

The heavily used complex is home to cricket, football (soccer), rugby union, Australian Football and touch.

Local schools also use the oval.

Representatives from the Bay and Basin Bombers will meet with a council representative to talk about their concerns with the ground tomorrow.
