OFFICERS from the Shoalhaven Police Target Action Group and Drug Unit arrested a Nowra man on Friday, when they discovered he was in possession of approximately 6.45 grams of what appeared to be amphetamine and what appeared to be approximately 3.7 grams of cannabis.
Police were patrolling East Nowra at around 5.20pm when they observed two motorcycles leaving Nineveh Close.
The police followed the cyclists, then activated lights and sirens.
One rider attempted to escape into a block of units in Moss Street, but the 34-year-old from Nowra, was seen climbing out of a window and down a tree at the rear of units.
Police chased the offender on foot and apprehended him.
During a search police discovered approximately 6.45 grams of what appeared to be amphetamine and a clear resealable bag containing what appeared to be green approximately 3.7 grams of cannabis and a set of scales disguised as an MP3 player.
The male offender was arrested for outstanding arrest warrants and bail was refused.
