AN argument between a mother and her 11-year-old daughter ended in an assault charge for the mother.
In Nowra Local Court last week, the mother pleaded guilty and was given a two-year good behaviour bond.
The mother and daughter had been sorting clothes earlier this month when an argument started.
The mother became angry as her daughter was sorting too slowly.
She hit the girl twice, before the girl called her father, who lives elsewhere.
He contacted the police who went around to see the mother and daughter.
The daughter told police that she had been kicked out of home and her mother would not let her back.
The mother admitted to hitting her daughter and said she should have handled her anger by walking away.
The daughter is now in her father’s care and has a domestic violence order protecting her from her mother.
