Mallets poised to strike on new croquet lawn

3/10/2008 11:05:00 AM
AFTER about five years and four different site choices work has begun on what will become the new Nowra Croquet Club lawn.

Located on the tennis courts next to the Bomaderry Aquatic Centre, the 40 club members are hoping to be playing on the lawn by the New Year.

“I was speaking to the contractors who said they hope to be finished by the end of November, which means we could use it at the start of the New Year,” President Pam Owen said.

“We’re happy with this site, although we won’t have a clubhouse for a while,” she said.
