Highway collision

06 Jul, 2009 09:29 AM
A MAN was charged with high range drink driving following an accident on Saturday on the Princes Highway, Falls Creek.

The 36-year-old was heading north when he lost control of his vehicle.

The vehicle left the roadway and collided with an embankment, trapping the driver.

A witness helped remove the driver from the vehicle.

Police attended a short time later but the driver refused all treatment and underwent a roadside breath test, which proved positive.

He was conveyed to the Nowra Police Station where he underwent analysis, which returned a reading of 0.185.

His licence was suspended and he will appear at Nowra Local Court charged with high range drink driving.
