DID you know that by rubbing deodorant on a mosquito bite it will help reduce the swelling?
This is the type of helpful health facts in the Women’s Health Diary.
In memory of a colleague they lost to breast cancer and to help women around the country, staff at Nowra’s Commonwealth Bank have sold the most fundraising Women’s Health Diaries in Australia.
Proceeds from the sale of the brightly coloured diaries, which are full of interesting and helpful health facts go toward funding research into breast cancer.
June Coats from the bank said that when their friend and colleague passed away after a battle with breast cancer it affected everyone at the Nowra office.
“Most of the staff here are women, about 20 of them.
“We’ve been selling the diaries for years, they’re popular at Christmas time,” they make wonderful gifts.
“We’re the highest selling branch in Australia having already sold 60 diaries. We will be selling them until January for $12.95 at the bank,” she said.
