A TOMERONG man has been given a two-year good behaviour bond for contravening an apprehended violence order.
Victor John Terry, 59 of Evelyn Road had an AVO taken out against him by his ex-partner in May of last year.
Their 17-year relationship had ended in 2005.
At 5.50am on June 12, his former partner had been walking her dog along a dirt road when Terry approached in his ute.
It was still dark when he stopped, opened the door and called out to the dog.
The woman called the dog back to her and it returned.
Terry reversed a short distance and called to the dog again.
The woman walked to the ute, grabbed the dog by the collar, swore at Terry and continued to walk the dog.
Terry reversed again, this time turning into her path, opening the door and swore at the woman before slamming the door shut.
He added, “Go on, call the cops.”
Feeling nervous and scared, the woman went down a bank and up an access road.
Terry continued to drive slowly before leaving the area.
The woman went to Nowra Police Station where she made a statement.
Police visited Terry at home where he said he couldn’t remember reversing, but admitted he had challenged his ex to call the cops.
He also said she had broken his mirror with a stick.
