YEAR 12 students at Nowra Anglican College shined in their achievements this year, with the school named as the top ranked in the Shoalhaven for HSC results.
Acting principal Andrew Leslie, who said the school was ranked 109 in the State, congratulated the students on their outstanding performance.
The school was also ranked as the second top performing school in Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands, he said.
“The overall performance of our students was excellent and is testament to the hard working dedication and diligence of the students, staff and parents,” he said.
“The college’s focus on academic excellence is starting to show.”
NAC was also the only local school to have three students listed on the State’s all rounders list: Rani Grevis, Madelaine Broad and Lewis Horton.
The standout courses included English extension two with 53 per cent of students scoring in band six.
In English extension two 82 per cent of students performed within the top two bands, while 48 per cent of advanced English students were in the bands five and six.
In ancient history 27 per cent of students were above state average in the top two bands, and 100 per cent of extension history students scored above 80 per cent.
Maths extension one and two students all scored above 80 per cent, ranking them in the top two bands.
