THE hot, windy conditions in the Shoalhaven have seen a flare-up in the Deans Gap fire, south west of Nowra but the blaze is well within containment lines.  

Residents asked to remain alert

Firefighting efforts overnight have been effective in maintaining containment lines around the Deans Gap fire in areas east of the Princes Highway.
